Sat. October 8th: Fall Finale

Hosted by: U.S. National Whitewater Center

This year’s festival features Cider Sampling and the always entertaining B.Y.O.B. (Build Your Own Boat) Competition, where participants create their own river-worthy vessels and put them to the test with a trip down the whitewater competition channel.  Enjoy the sights and sounds of their final musical performances of the year. Events beginning at 7:30am through 8pm.

Sat. October 15: Sustain Charlotte's Biktoberfest

Begins at Triple C Brewery

This unique event shows hundreds of people how easy it is to get around South End and Center City Charlotte without driving! Bike, walk, or ride transit to sponsoring businesses while collecting stamps in your official Biketoberfest passport. Redeem stamps for raffle tickets and chances to win prizes, then gather for an after party at Triple C Brewing! Your admission includes entry to the after party, one free beer (at Triple C) and discounts and prizes along the way! Want an awesome and sustainably made event t-shirt too? Sat. October 22: GUTS - Creatives Carving Wishes

Where: BB&T Ballpark

GUTS is a friendly pumpkin carving competition organized and created by CRAFTED, a marketing agency in right here in Charlotte, NC. The competition is open to local and regional creative professionals that want to test their pumpkin carving skills, and more importantly, raise money for the brave kids of Make-A-Wish Foundation. They raise money through ticket sales, carver's registration fees, sales of creatively carved pumpkins, food, drink and merchandise sold at the event.

Sat. October 29th: Running Scared 5Miler

Starts (@ 9am) and finishes on S. Mint Street in-between Romare Bearden Park and the Knights Stadium

Don’t miss the Inaugural Running Scared 5 Miler and Monster Mile presented by SportPort, showcasing uptown Charlotte. Instead of embracing Halloween with a mouthful of fun-size Snickers, don your costume and lace up your running shoes.
